Mako

Mako

Anthony, Staci, and I had the opportunity to dine at Mako in mid-September. It’s a Michelin-starred omakase, so expectations were high—and they delivered.

The Experience

Everything you want from a Michelin-level sushi spot was there: precision, pacing, attention to detail, and thoughtful presentation. Each piece felt intentional and well-composed—no filler courses, no wasted bites.

Gluten-Free Friendly

They were excellent with gluten-free—clear communication, seamless substitutions, and the same level of care across every course. No awkward swaps or shortcuts—just the full experience, properly adapted. For anyone with a gluten allergy, that kind of effort goes a long way.

The Verdict

Mako was as expected for a Michelin star: polished, elegant, and incredibly well-executed. If you’re looking for a quiet, high-level omakase with true hospitality, this is a great pick—especially if gluten-free accommodation is important to you.
