Viaggio Italian
Forgot the photos, but we had a great old-school Italian meal at Viaggio—the kind of dinner where the food hits, the energy is relaxed, and the table feels full in every sense of the word.
Starters
We kicked it off strong with the grilled calamari, which was fantastic. Tender, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. Add in sausage & peppers and an antipasto plate, and we were fully in comfort-food mode before the mains even hit the table.
Main
A bunch of us went for the rigatoni with vodka sauce, and let me say—gluten-free or not, it was excellent. Rich, balanced, and generous.
Andrea had the special and gave it the thumbs up, while Jessie and Bob were also all in on their meals. Clean plates all around.
The Vibe
Classic Chicago Italian. No frills, just good food, good company, and a place that knows what it’s doing. You feel taken care of, and everything just flows. It’s the kind of restaurant that doesn’t need to impress you with style—it wins on flavor and feel.
The Verdict
Viaggio is a must-go-again. Whether you’re gluten-free or just chasing that perfect bowl of red-sauce pasta, this place delivers. Already looking forward to the next round.
