Miru
Miru is one of those restaurants that just consistently delivers. Whether it’s dinner or a special occasion like Mother’s Day brunch, this place shows up—and doesn’t miss.
I’ve been a few times now, and every visit has been smooth, from service to food to handling dietary restrictions. As someone who often dines gluten-free, I can say confidently: Miru gets it. They’re not just aware—they’re on it. I’ve never had a single issue, which says a lot, especially for a sushi-forward menu.
Let’s Talk Brunch
The Mother’s Day brunch was excellent—thoughtful, not rushed, and with a nice balance between traditional brunch options and Japanese dishes. You can go in one direction (sashimi, miso soup, steamed dumplings) or keep it classic with eggs, waffles, and carved meats. Either way, you’re eating well. And yes, the sushi during brunch is just as sharp as it is at dinner.
And Dinner?
Dinner feels elevated but still approachable. Beautifully plated sushi, solid sake options, and that slightly under-the-radar elegance that you get from being tucked into the St. Regis without the stuffiness of a typical hotel restaurant. It’s a place where you can actually relax and enjoy—not just impress someone with the views (though those don’t hurt either).
Location & Vibe
You’re high up with views over the lake and city, and the space itself is modern without being cold. It’s the kind of restaurant that feels special even when you’re not celebrating anything. Bonus: it’s quiet enough to actually have a conversation.
The Verdict
Miru is just excellent. It’s dependable, polished, and makes for a great experience every time. Whether it’s for a holiday brunch, a weekday dinner, or just a last-minute night out—you can’t go wrong here.
